The first book of poetry by Benoît Reiss, known for his subtle and limpid prose.
This is a strange book, one could not be more intimate, necessary. “A burrow of existences”. A man remembers, beyond oblivion. He enters deeply into the flesh of his flesh to find the faces there. One after the other, grandparents and ancestors rise up, in the most insignificant scenes of life, in these minute details where they are all there.
No explanations, no pathos, everything is shown only. The wandering, the factory, the camp, the misery.
