Nathalie Peyrebonne, in this novel about the quest for childhood and its sparkling dreams, questions the mysteries of memory, its traps and its feats of strength.

She spent her childhood in a small country in Central America. Only a few happy memories remain from those distant tropical years. Until the day when an image seen on a television screen makes everything sway. In the middle of a report on the French secret service, this man she recognizes, who “worked with his father”. Could his parents have been linked to the intelligence service at the end of the Cold War? Could his sun-drenched childhood paradise hide a murkier background? All she has to do now is search her memory and go back in time, following the tracks of old acquaintances to find out the truth.
