The author

Pierre Pouchairet has served in the criminal investigation department of the French Judicial Police, as head of the anti-drug trafficking unit, as liaison officer for the Office of Narcotics Control in Beirut and Ankara, and as internal security attaché in Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. He now devotes his time to writing. His fourth novel, Mortels Trafics, won the Quai des Orfèvres Prize.
