A novel that explores multiple avenues, with the infectious joy of constantly inventing new stories.

If The Universal Friend is neither a sect nor a political group, as its promoters claim, then what exactly is it?

In a society where people feel surrounded by madness and fear they may be losing their own sanity, The Universal Friend offers support to disoriented individuals. By entering their private lives, it exposes the underlying malaise that may threaten the citizens of any advanced society. After the collapse of ideals and beliefs, does reality itself ultimately begin to feel like a hoax?

Like a distant echo of Kafka’s The Castle, this comic and unsettling novel leaves readers with one lingering question: what game is The Universal Friend really playing?
